• Caló mexicano 2 hrs (Taught in Spanish)
• Coming to Terms: A Divorce Terminology Workshop  1.5 hrs (Taught in English with Spanish examples)
• Court Interpreters & Vicarious Trauma: Healthy Coping Strategies 2.5 hrs (Taught in English with Spanish examples)

Participants will receive a certificate of course completion as proof of Continuing Interpreter Minimum Education (CIMCE).

Instructor:

Lorena pike is a Spanish certified court interpreter and professional translator with more than fifteen years of experience in the T&I industry. Her training courses have been featured in regional and national conferences, such as ATA, NAJIT, NITA, and CFI. She earned a BS in Accounting from EBC in Mexico City and a MA in Hispanic studies with emphasis in translation and technology from UNLV, where she taught for nearly 5 years. She is also an adjunct faculty member in Santa Barbara City College, teaching the Translation and Interpreting Certificate courses. Lorena is a staff interpreter for the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Barbara.
