Interpreters routinely work in emotionally charged, high-stakes environments that present unique safety and security risks. Because interpreters often work in close physical proximity to parties under stress—and may be contractors excluded from routine security briefings—they face vulnerabilities that are frequently underestimated.

This 2-hour training provides interpreters with practical, role-appropriate strategies to enhance personal safety while reinforcing clear professional boundaries. Participants will learn how to identify high-risk moments, apply time, distance, and positioning principles, recognize early indicators of aggression, and communicate effectively withcourt security personnel.
